ANDERSON, Ind. – A pair of goals late in the second half provided the margin of victory for visiting Anderson University in a 4-2 win over Earlham College men's soccer, in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Wednesday at the AU Soccer Field.
Anderson's Daniel Collins notched an unassisted goal in the 80th minute, breaking a 2-2 tie in the Ravens' favor. An Earlham own goal in the 88th minute extended the Anderson lead to two goals, 4-2.
The Ravens tied the game at 1-1 on Collins' goal in the 29th minute, then took a 2-1 lead as Regan Frost scored in the 35th minute off an assist from Collins.
Drew FitzGibbon finished on a pass from Joel Michael Nti-Kyeremeh in the 38th minute, tying the game at 2-2. That's how the contest remained heading into the halftime intermission, with Anderson holding a 9-2 advantage in total shots over the first 45 minutes.
Colin Kaurich played all 90 minutes in the Earlham goal and finished with a season-high nine saves. Jackson Etheridge charted a pair of stops over his 90 minutes in the Anderson goal.
Earlham men's soccer returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 26, when it heads to Franklin, Ind., to face Franklin College under the lights in an 8:30 p.m. start.
