Men's tennis knocks off Centre, 5-4

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Earlham College men's tennis rallied to win five out of six singles matches and posted a 5-4 victory over Centre College on Sunday afternoon at the Lexington Tennis Center.

The Quakers dropped all three doubles matches to the Colonels, and trailed 3-0 heading into singles play.

Earlham knotted things up by taking no. 3, no. 1, and no. 2 singles in that order, before Centre eked out a lead with a win at no. 4 singles. However the Quakers grabbed a win at no. 6 singles, before Brandon Giordanelli clinched the match in Earlham's favor with a 7-5, 7-6, 10-8 triumph at no. 5 singles.

Earlham men's tennis will travel to Delaware, Ohio, next Saturday, March 3, to face Franciscan University (Ohio) and Ohio Wesleyan.
