Men’s tennis places six on ITA Scholar-Athlete team; earns ITA All-Academic Team award

RICHMOND, Ind. – Six Earlham men's tennis players were recognized with Scholar-Athlete honors by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) when the association's list of post-season academic honors was announced Tuesday.

Vitalii Stadnyk, Vojislav Tatarevic, Adam Schwartz, Niraj Parajuli, Joaquin Lerner, and Hyunseong Ahn all received ITA Scholar-Athlete status by virtue of having a 3.50-or-better GPA for the current academic year.

In addition, Earlham Men's Tennis received an ITA All-Academic Team award for recording a 3.20-or-better GPA during the 2017-18 academic year. Earlham was the lone men's tennis program in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) to receive the ITA All-Academic Team accolade.

Earlham Men's Tennis reached the championship match of the 2018 HCAC Men's Tennis Championship and boasted five All-HCAC selections, as well as the conference's freshman of the year in Brandon Giordanelli. The Quakers completed the 2017-18 season with a 20-5 overall record, and a 6-1 mark in the HCAC.
