Men’s tennis downs Huntington, 5-4

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Earlham College men's tennis got back into the win column on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-4 victory over Huntington College.


Earlham picked up a single point out of doubles play with Aitor Zerdilas-Herrera and Jason Lawson teaming up for a 9-7 win at no. 2 doubles.

The Quakers found more success in the singles matches where Earlham posted victories at no. 2, 3, 4, and 6 singles. Nikos Trikkas-Psomas won a marathon 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 10-4 victory at no. 2 singles, while Nico Manni, Jason Lawson, and Joaquin Lerner all recorded straight-sets wins at nos. 3, 4, and 6 respectively.


Earlham improved to 7-6 overall, while Huntington slipped to 9-7.


The Quakers travel to Terre Haute, Ind., on Sunday, March 31, to face Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Rose-Hulman in a match starting at 12:00 p.m.
