RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College sophomore Hannah Wallhausser charted a goal and an assist to lead the Earlham women's soccer team to a perfect 2-0 week, and was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 15, 2019.
Wallhausser's assist came on Earlham's first goal in a 2-1 victory over Marietta College, while her goal was in the 19th minute of a 3-2 triumph over Principia College and knotted the game at 1-1.
The two victories extended Earlham's winning streak to four games, and improved the Quakers' record to 5-1-0 overall – the program's best start since 2009.
The HCAC Player of the Week accolade is the second this season for Earlham women's soccer; first year Mel Johnson was tabbed with HCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors back on September 3, 2019. The weekly award is the first of Wallhausser's collegiate career.
Earlham women's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 18, when it heads to Wilmington, Ohio, to face Wilmington College. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
