RICHMOND, Indiana – Earlham College women's soccer has received the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award for the 2019 season, according to a release issued by the association.
Earlham was one of 143 men's and women's collegiate programs to receive the award, which is presented to teams for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game.
Earlham women's soccer was a Bronze Award honoree in the program. The Quakers received six yellow cards and no red cards over 18 games during the 2019 season. Earlham women's soccer was the lone program out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to be recognized as part of the USC Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award program.
This marks the third consecutive season that Earlham women's soccer has been recognized through the USC Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award program; the Quakers were a Silver Award honoree in both 2017 and 2018.
